AAZPC Pickleball Event
Improve your game…reduce your injuries…have more fun.
On Saturday October 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the Anthem Arizona Pickleball Club is hosting a special event for our members. This event will feature one of our local Pickleball Instructors who will be sharing some pickleball tips and strategies to help improve your game and a prominent Sports Therapist specializing in agility, strength training, injury prevention and rehab.
Location: Anthem Community Center – in the Exploration and Discovery rooms.
Cost to attendees: no cost to attendees (hosted by AAZPC as a free event to our members)
Who can attend: Open to Anthem Pickleball Club Members or accompanied guests only.
Food and Beverages: Foothills Sport Therapy will provide yummy breakfast items like Danish, fruit trays, coffee, juice and water.
Pickleball Teaching Pro: Dennis Ayotte is a Certified Professional for the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) the Official Teaching and Certification Partner for USA Pickleball. He is also the local Ambassador for USA Pickleball. Dennis is the Pickleball Pro at Anthem Golf & Country Club as well as an instructor at Anthem Community Center Courts. Dennis will present and intermediate to advanced game strategies and drills to improve targeted aspects of your game and will be reviewing game video footage to highlight his content. Dennis earned a BA in Exercise Science & Athletic training and has an extensive background in Sports Medicine and performance.
Certified Sports Therapist: Kevin Truitt from Foothills Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy will present information on injury prevention and on-court agility skills. Kevin graduated from USC with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and spent 5 years with the Milwaukee Brewers working with the team to improve conditioning and prevent/manage injuries before opening his clinic here in Anthem. Kevin will cover processes like stretching, strength, agility, and footwork to help you perform better on the court and reduce injuries. Kevin will also be utilizing pickleball game footage to highlight the physical demand that pickleball presents.
Raffle prizes: We will be raffling off some pickleball gear, like a top-rated paddle along with some pickleball swag. No cost for the raffle…each person will receive a raffle ticket upon arrival.
Space is limited: Due to space limitations this event is limited to the first 100 members who register.
