New AAZPC Event! Competitive Play – Sunday Shootout – 3.0 and above – February 25, 2024 noon – 2pm

When:  Sunday, February 25, 2024     noon- 2 pm

Where: Anthem Community Courts, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Event Details:

Organized competitive play. In a shootout/ladder league format (see below)

Skill: strong 3.0 players and above. 

Format: This will be a “shootout”/“Ladder League” format, as used by Pickleball Den app.

4 Players are assigned to each court. Each player on the court plays 3 games – rotating with (and against) each player assigned to that court. 

Scores are recorded for every game.

After 3 games, players will be reassigned to another court based on scores in PB Den app. 

There are NO BYES. We start on time. And, you must play the entire time.

Maximum of 24 players. 

There will be a waiting list.

All players must subscribe to the PB Den App -- $7.95 for a 1 year subscription (See below).

Registration process:

• 1.      If you are interested in potentially participating in this event, please register your interest (above):

• We will
• ·         send you an invitation to get the PB Den app ($8 per year) and put you on the potential Sunday Shootout member list;
• ·         or will confirm that you are already a member of the AAZPC Sunday Shootout. (Note – all members of PB Den 6am, 8am, have already been added as members of the Sunday Shootout Group).
• 2.       Registration for the actual event – through the PB Den APP will open on February 15.  At that time, you will receive an email via the Pickleball Den notifying you that “Sign up” sheets are out. At that time, you can sign up for the event.

DISCLAIMER

Players have suggested that we try a Ladder League format, with the possibility of creating a regular Ladder League in the future. This is a TEST for all of us – does the format work? How would the event registration work? Some of us need to learn the Shootout technology.
